Catalyst Arts Inaugural Fundraiser
August 20, 2018
Have breakfast with the Catalyst Arts team and dream about the future!
Catalyst Arts will hold its first breakfast fundraiser onMonday, August 20, 10 - 11am. Music by local favorite, Mayda, and a Zumba workout teaser by Lynnea Doublette bring a refreshing twist to the traditional fundraiser. Get your body moving at this power breakfast with artful inspiration!
You'll support our work to make space for traditionally marginalized artists and communities of color by increasing visibility and access in the arts. Donations from the fundraiser will support launching a New Artist Development and In-Residence initiative, regional and national work, and long-term strategic planning.
When Intermedia Arts collapsed in October 2017, Catalyst Arts emerged to sustain the vision of creating space and place for POCI/Queer artists with a belief that ART CHANGES EVERYTHING!
The journey has not been easy, but with allies, friends, a small staff and the McKnight Foundation, Catalyst Arts launched a successful programming season this year.
Shá Cage, Senior Curator of Catalyst Arts, says, “The work we are doing is urgent and critical! The pUSH Art+Activism LAB and Social Justice Workshops are examples of how we are cultivating the next generation of changemakers.”
