A musical and literary chronicle concert of the life and 30-year career of Belgian chansonnier, social commentator, and beloved performance artist Jacques Brel.

Take a journey back to mid-20th century Belgium, France, and America to explore the life's work of one of modern music's most influential artists.

Capturing the major events of Jacques Brel's life through song, story, visual media, and vocal performance, this seasoned group of performing artists will present a challenging set of French and English language material, direct from the best of the Jacques Brel catalogue. With his great influence on popular American artists as diverse as Sinatra, Ray Charles, Barry Manilow, Judy Collins, David Bowie, Sting, and Nirvana, audiences will be delighted to discover the depth and breadth of Brel's impact on the music of our time.
