Patron Services Manager

Reports to: Managing Director

FTE:  0.75 (30 hours per week) 

Open Eye Figure Theatre is a nationally recognized non-profit arts center based  in Minneapolis. Founded in 2000, our whimsical yet profound work continues to surprise and delight audiences on our jewel box stage housed in a historic storefront, and throughout the Twin Cities with our mobile Driveway Tour. Dedicated to ‘opening eyes, hearts, and minds’ through the power of the performing arts, Open Eye consistently creates a unique, contagious exchange between artists and audiences. 

Summary

As Patron Services Manager (PSM) you will serve as the primary point of contact between Open Eye Figure Theatre (OE) and its community of patrons and audiences. The Patron Services Manager performs all front-of-house operations during performances and other events scheduled at OE. You will be responsible for managing the sale of tickets to patrons, as well as financial reporting, monitoring and reconciling data, and booking the wildly successful Driveway Tour.  The Patron Services Manager must be able to think strategically and manage box office staff and volunteers through effective leadership and clear communications. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) database, including the setup of events, bookings,  sales and tracking of patron data

  • Set up and track ticketing functions for performances

  • Serve as lead Box Officer for performances, handling reservations check-in, door sales, and providing exceptional customer service

  • Reconcile daily sales and prepare deposits

  • Provide statistics and reports as needed

  • Serve as booking agent for the Driveway Tour

  • Oversee and train box office and Driveway Tour staff and volunteers

  • Perform administrative responsibilities as needed and assist with special projects as assigned

  • Maintain professional appearance and manner

Qualification and Skill Requirements

  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively, both alone and as part of a team

  • Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Previous experience working with databases (CRM software, Excel, Google Sheets, etc)

  • Experience providing customer service / interacting with public

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelors or Associate Degree preferred, but not required 

  • Past experience working with Altru or other Blackbaud applications

  • Experience in the creative arts or theater field

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written

  • Computer proficiency-Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Google suite

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Must be able to manage a team of box office workers and volunteers without supervision

  • Possesses a positive attitude and a willingness to wear multiple hats

  • Able to prioritize, be flexible, and adaptable

  • Must be able to lift up to 25lbs.

Schedule

  • Flexible with some weekends and evenings required

Compensation

  • Negotiable, depending on qualifications
