The Sorcerer's Apprentice
October 28 - November 13
Created by Michael Sommers, composed by Eric Jensen, sound design by Sean Healey, lighting design by Michael Murnane.
Our adaptation of The Sorcerer’s Apprentice for the marionette stage is a look at youth and aging, the allure of power, and the beauty of a life well lived.
First produced by Open Eye in 2012, The Sorcerer's Apprentice is one of our most popular shows appealing to both children and adult audiences with it's highly designed production, original score, and masterful puppetry.
Inspired by Goethe's 1797 poem Der Zauberlehrling, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice has become mostly known in contemporary culture through the Disney excerpt in Fantasia with Mickey Mouse as the apprentice overstepping his bounds to lose control of magical powers.
