POP-UP ACTIVATION WORK SAMPLE
Open Eye Theatre has slowly been developing an outdoor “pocket park” green space in partnership with our landlord (who is the property owner) and many of our Phillips neighborhood community members. With support from the City of Minneapolis Pop-Up Activation grant, we will pilot a new summer weekend event called SWEET SONGS & FLYING OBJECTS which would offer free live music and puppetry arts performances, showcasing the breadth and diversity of Minneapolis’ grassroots creatives.
Our vision is that a successful pilot Pop-Up Activation will pave the way for us to envision an ongoing annual summer offering in the Phillips Neighborhood.
